Miranda Kerr makes heartfelt plea to raise $21,700 to help severely ill Russian baby Muhammad Aigubov undergo life-saving heart surgery

She recently donated $100K to a Thai charity for injured elephants and it seems generous Miranda Kerr is fully jumping onto the philanthropy bandwagon.

The Australian supermodel took to Instagram on Saturday to urge her Instagram fans to place generous bids in a charity auction so that a six-month-old baby can receive life-saving heart surgery.

Little Muhammad Aigubov, who lives in the Russian city of Makhachkala, suffers from a heart defect which has left part of the organ undeveloped and his plight has touched the 32-year-old model.

'Taking to Instagram on Saturday, she said in a short video clip:'I'm joining Lena Perminova and Louis Vuitton in an Instagram auction to help raise the much needed funds for a 6-month old baby boy who desperately needs life-saving heart surgery...'
Miranda has offered to personally thank bidders after the Louis Vuitton show in Paris for their generous bids.
The life saving procedure will cost $21,700 and will be undertaken by German specialist doctor Victor Hraske, who has already operated twice on the sick boy.

Joining Miranda in the appeal is fellow catwalk queen Lena Perminova, founder of the first global Instagram charity auction project, and luxury brand Louis Vuitton.

The highest bidder in Muhammad's charity appeal will receive a ticket to Louis Vuitton's spring/summer 2016 runway show in Paris as well as have the opportunity to meet Miranda herself backstage.

Skincare mogul Miranda will also present the highest bidder with a gift bag brimming with products from her cosmetics line, Kora Organics.

With an Instagram reach of 7.2 followers, it is likely that Miranda's online plea will greatly increase the number of entries into the auction.

Two days ago, the former Victoria's Secret angel once again coaxed her Instagram followers into charitable action by asking them to donate to Sydney Children's Hospital in Sydney's suburb of Randwick.

The mother-of-one, who was formerly married to English actor Orlando Bloom, is currently dating billionaire Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel.

The loved-up duo were first spotted together July this year when they arrived into LAX after a romantic getaway.

Miranda took out the sixth place on Forbes' sixth highest paid supermodel list this year, earning a whopping $5.5 million over the past 12 months, whilst Evan was hailed as Forbes' youngest billionaire in the world by the financial magazine.
